Small tools for people who run their own smart home
Every one of these exists because something broke in my own house at eleven at night and there was no tool for it. They all run in your browser — your config never leaves your machine.
Tools
- Legacy template converter Your sensors went "unavailable" or your automations stopped firing silently. Paste the old YAML, get the modern syntax.
- Next Zigbee compatibility checker Whether that sensor actually talks to your hub, before you buy it.
- YAML config checker Home Assistant says "invalid config" and nothing else. This says which line, what is wrong and how to fix it.
- Next Running cost calculator What each device actually costs you per year.
- Next Template tester Try a Jinja template without restarting anything.
- Next Mesh coverage planner How many repeaters, and where, so the far bedroom stops dropping.
Why free? Because a tool you have to sign up for is a tool you close. These are paid for by the ads and by the odd affiliate link on hardware I actually use. If a tool ever needs an account, it will be a different tool.
